The World Games 2022 Specialty License Plates Now Available

Alabama Department of Revenue approves distinctive license plate for The World Games 2022, proceeds will support global event

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (August 3, 2020) – The World Games 2022 is giving local fans the chance to show their support on the road to Birmingham. Residents of Alabama can now order an official The World Games 2022 specialty license plate, the Birmingham Organizing Committee for The Games announced today.

The World Games 2022 license plate, which was unanimously approved by the Alabama Legislative Oversight Committee last week, is available for pre-purchase now at: twg2022.com/plate. The specialty plate costs $50, with $48.75 of each purchase going back to The World Games 2022 Birmingham to support the planning and execution of the international Olympic-style event.

 

“The World Games 2022 will be a ‘once in a lifetime’ moment for Alabama,” said The World Games 2022 CEO Nick Sellers. “So, when it’s time to renew your tag, be a part of history and ask for The World Games 2022 license plate.  We want the world to see how Alabamians come together to proudly show off our great state.”

Production of The World Games 2022 specialty plates requires 250 purchase commitments by Aug. 1, 2021. Once 250 commitments are secured, the Alabama Department of Revenue will begin production and distribution of all orders.

The Birmingham Organizing Committee also plans to work with its partners and vendors to secure plates for fleet vehicles and official vehicles of The World Games 2022 Birmingham.
