The World Games 2022 Calling for Musicians, Dancers and Other Talented Performers to Audition
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., USA – The World Games 2022 is looking for musicians, dancers, magicians and other talented performers to entertain thousands of visitors during the international, multi-sport event that will take place in Birmingham July 7-17.
The performers will showcase their talents at the Region’s World Games Plaza at the new City Walk BHAM, a massive 31-acre park under the I-59/20 bridge in downtown Birmingham between 15th Street North and 25th Street North.
Presented by Regions, The World Games Plaza will be open daily to the public, media and athletes and feature live entertainment, food, and sports demonstrations. The Plaza will include two performance stages, an outdoor market space, a skate park, a dog park, and more.
“The Region’s World Games Plaza will be a free, family-friendly venue bringing together thousands of people from around the world to celebrate this extraordinary event,” said Kathy Boswell, World Games 2022 Executive Vice President of Community and Volunteer Engagement. “This is an incredible opportunity for people to spotlight their talents for all the world to see. We’re launching a talent search to find musicians, dancers who can reflect different cultures, voices of the spoken word, and others who will share their special gifts. This is yet another way The World Games 2022 is engaging people locally, statewide and beyond to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Entertainers selected to perform at the Region’s World Games Plaza will be highlighted to international media and receive special The World Games merchandise and tickets to selected events.
