Participant Guidebook

Welcome to The World Games 2022! We are excited to provide global exposure and a unique experience for you here in Birmingham, Alabama! Please bookmark this page and return to it for details on housing at UAB and BCS, the Opening Ceremony (July 7), Athlete’s Night (July 13), and the Closing Ceremony (July 17).

The World Games participants should use the provided transportation system to travel to competition venues. Using other means such as a taxi, uber, rental cars, etc. will delay the process as these vehicles will have to go through all security checkpoints and searches as the general public. This may delay you getting to your competition in time.

Please make every effort to eat in the Dining Halls for meals. For last minute requests at UAB Athlete Village, snacks can be picked up at Blazer Hall Concierge and taken with you to competition venues.
