Thanks to the partnership between the City of Birmingham, Birmingham Organizing Committee and the Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority, all transportation will be FREE and accessible for fans enjoying The World Games 2022. For more information, CLICK HERE

The shuttles run in 20-30 minutes intervals.

1. Request a golf cart pickup from The Hub:

    • Go to the ADA tent on RAW and 23rd Street North. Ask staff to call a cart.

2. Request a golf cart pickup from within the northern downtown area:

    • Pickups spots will be signed and have the number to call
      • 19th Street North @ RAW – Boutwell
      • 19th Street North @ 9th Avenue North – TWG Plaza/Citywalk
      • 19th Street North @ 10th Avenue North – Legacy Arena
      • 22nd Street North near 12th Avenue North – Protective Dropoff
    • Drivers will be roaming the northern downtown area and will be available for pickups at other areas as availability allows

No, The World Games 2022 Transit Line is complimentary to the public.

No, for most venues, parking will be reserved for volunteers. This will serve as a great option for the BJCC venues, Boutwell Auditorium, Sloss Furnaces and Avondale Park.

No, athletes have their own dedicated transportation.

Legion Field and the TWG 2022 East Parking Lots (5th Ave S and 33rd St S) have the most dedicated parking spaces, but there are stops near many entertainment areas in Birmingham including, but not limited to, Avondale, Parkside and Five Points West. 

All four lines deliver patrons to the BJCC campus on Reverend Abraham Woods Blvd at The Hub.  The Blue Line will take you to Legion Field, BJCC, Protective Stadium, Legacy Arena and Boutwell Auditorium.  The Red Line will take you up and down 20th St from the Hub (BJCC, Protective Stadium, Legacy Arena and Boutwell Auditorium) to downtown Homewood.  The Green Line will take you to Powell Steam Plant in Parkside, Avondale Park, Sloss Furnaces, Lakeview/Pepper Place, BJCC, Protective Stadium, Legacy Arena and Boutwell Auditorium.

TWG 2022 and City of Birmingham have partnered with the Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) to create the Red Line, which mimics the Magic City Connector.

The central drop off location for all four routes located at Reverend Abraham Woods Blvd and 23rd Street North.  This is located one block from Region’s World Games Plaza at City Walk and within 3 blocks of 7 sport venues as well as Protective Stadium, home to Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Strollers can be brought to Region’s World Games Plaza at City Walk, but strollers will not be allowed inside venues.
