Ms. Corlette Stewart Burns joins The World Games with 20 years of strategic planning, branding, marketing, and event planning experience, 19 years of diversity and equity experience, and ten years of government affairs and protocol experience.
Ms. Stewart Burns was the first Director of Communications at The University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Vice President’s Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI). Additionally, she served as Jefferson County Commission’s first African-American Public Information Officer.
Corlette owns ThinkTank Communications, and her family own’s o2ideas and The Mattie C. Stewart Foundation. She has led multi-million dollar marketing campaigns for many brands such as The Home Depot, Verizon Wireless, Toys R’ Us, and Mars Petcare. Additionally, some of her sports experience includes working with Brad Martin Golf Tournament, Talladega Speedway, NBA Stars Eric Bledsoe and DeMarcus Cousins, and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
Currently, Ms. Stewart Burns is Executive Director of Birmingham Sister Cities, where she leads global relations between the greater Birmingham area and 16 global communities around the world. Ms. Stewart Burns will serve as the Protocol Officer for The World Games 2022.
