As Director of Communications of The World Games 2022, Jessica Lumsden Black oversees media relations, media operations and overall brand voice for the international multi-sport event.
With more than 15 years of experience in sports and communications, Jessica joins The World Games 2022 from Markstein, where she is the Director of Markstein Sports. Previously, she was the Director of Communications and Marketing for Peach Bowl Inc., where she managed brand communications for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge and The Dodd Trophy for nearly a decade. Prior to her role with Peach Bowl Inc., she served as the Assistant Director of Communications & Marketing at James Madison University, Public Relations Specialist for the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Public Relations Assistant for the Chick-fil-A Bowl/Atlanta Sports Council/Naismith Awards.
A native of Richmond, Va. and 2004 graduate of James Madison University, Jessica resides in Birmingham with her husband, Josh.
