Liz Ballard Saxon serves as the Director of Partnerships for The World Games 2022. With 19 years of experience in the sports industry, Ballard is a strategic and versatile brand specialist that combines a background in marketing and communications with expertise in partnerships and project management, highlighted by a 14-year career with NBC Sports, spanning seven Olympic Games and two Emmy award wins in live event production. During her NBCU career, Ballard’s role was to evangelize NBCU’s multi-decade, multibillion-dollar investment in the Olympic brand to both internal and external partners. She served as the day-to-day liaison between the Comcast family to sponsors, athletes, management agencies, national and international federations, creating partnerships and marketing activations to support business objectives.
Ballard graduated with honors from New York University with a degree in Sports Management and a concentration in Entertainment Marketing. In 2018 she completed Duke University’s Digital Media and Marketing program. A native of New Orleans, Ballard now resides in Birmingham with her husband, Bryan.
