Known for its innovative and interdisciplinary approach to education at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a part of the University of Alabama System, is an internationally renowned research university and academic medical center.
Competitions for The World Games 2022 will take place throughout UAB’s campus, including Lacrosse, Tug of War, Racquetball and Squash. It will also host The World Games 2022 UAB Athlete Village, which will offer housing in UAB residence halls for athletes, coaches, and officials. UAB Medicine will be the Presenting Sponsor for athletics and spectator medical services at The World Games 2022 venues.






PNC Field

Home to UAB’s soccer teams and the Legion FC, PNC Field will host The World Games 2022 Lacrosse competitions.

Bessie Estell Park

A 5.2-acre park near UAB’s campus, Bessie Estell Park is a popular outdoor destination. Its natural setting will host Boules Sports competitions, including Lyonnaise and Pétanque.
